The man from Mars

Wang Yue (right), the Chinese member of a six-member international crew who undertook a grueling 520-day simulation flight to Mars, shakes hands with veteran taikonaut Fei Junlong in Beijing yesterday, after Wang returned from Russia. Wang, 29, and five other volunteers entered the simulation module on June 3, 2010, and emerged again on November 4. Wang is a teacher at the China Astronaut Research and Training Center in Beijing. Taikonaut Fei was a member of China's second manned spaceflight in October 2005.
