Hu Jintao meets Peruvian president

President Hu Jintao and his Peruvian counterpart Ollanta Humala have discussed how to further bilateral ties.
Hu Jintao told Humala he looks forward to good working relations and personal friendship to push forward China-Peru ties. The Chinese leader extended his sympathy for the victims of the earthquake that struck Peru in October. He also expressed his confidence Peruvians would rebuild their homes under Humalas leadership.
Humala praised the strategic partnership with China. In recent years, the two countries have held frequent high-level exchanges and made productive achievements in cooperation in various fields. Peru is one of Chinas main trading partners in Latin America. Last year, bilateral trade increased by 48 percent from a year earlier to 9.7 billion US dollars.
