Official suspended for beating journalists in revenge
THE Industrial & Commercial Bureau of Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, has suspended its director Yang Xiaosong from duty and is investigating the allegation of his corruption, the People Daily reported today. Yang led a group of hit men to beat two journalists of a local newspaper on June 9 for exposing the food safety problem in a shop run by his wife.
