Bomb Destroys Seven NATO Tankers in Pakistan
A bomb destroyed at least seven oil tankers in Pakistan that were carrying fuel for NATO troops on Monday, officials told the media. The tankers were on the way to Afghanistan.
"A bomb fitted with a timer blew up an oil tanker. It triggered fire that engulfed six more tankers," a local Pakistani official, Shahar Yar Khan, told AFP. He added that there were no reports of casualties.
Fire spewing from the torched tankers are currently threatening about 10 others that are sitting nearby, another official said.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
The incident occurred as a suicide bomber attacked a bank in Islamabad on Monday, killing one person, reported the BBC. Four others were wounded.
