Student sentenced to death over intentional murder

YAO Jiaxin, a university student who murdered a young mother after accidentally running into her with his car in October 2010, was sentenced to death today by a court in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

A young Chinese couple were murdered on Monday night in a rental house in the Nasr City in Cairo, a Chinese embassy official said today. The murder occurred at around 10 pm on Monday, Zhang Zhizhong, director of the consular affairs of the Chinese embassy to Egypt, told Xinhua.
