Poland Train Crash Leaves One Dead, Dozens Injured

At least one person has died and more than 30 people have been injured in a train crash in central Poland on Friday, according to local media reports.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that he would go to the crash of the train to see the damage done, according to a statement from his office.

The train was heading from Warsaw to Katowice and crashed in the town of Baby. Around 280 passengers were on board the train.

Helicopters transported the most seriously wounded to hospitals in Lodz, reported TVP news.

Some media reports said that four people were killed but local media, including Polands The News and TVN24 reported that the police and the train operator said only one person died. An overturned carriage was still being put upright.
