After addressing the joint press conference, President Hu Jintao and President Barack Obama answered questions from reporters. Obama says the two countries have agreed to build a cooperative partnership based on mutual respect and mutual benefit.

"I absolutely believe that China's peaceful rise is good for the world and it's good for America," Obama told a joint press conference after talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao at the White House.
